Meet the Coaches
Phillip Ruicci (Coach Phil)
The love of soccer has been a part of my life since I was the age of 4 and I want to offer my knowledge and experience to today’s youth sport development. As a result of my commitment and dedication to athletics, I’ve achieved many team and individual goals such as: High school Athlete of the Year 2001 & 2005, Competed with Brock University Varsity Soccer Team 2005-2007, Bachelors Degree in Inclusive and Therapeutic Recreation from Brock University, Head Coach Canadian National Men’s Homeless Soccer Team 2012-2017, Best Men’s Coach Award – 2015 FIFA Homeless World Cup in Amsterdam, Recreational programming for over 13 years, Currently employed at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) as a Recreational Therapist.
Biniam Araya (Coach Bin)
Coach Bin has been involved in soccer from a very early age, starting out playing soccer competitively as a child and throughout high school, while also spending time as a referee. He has also spent over 10 years in recreational programing, organizing and leading youth and adult recreational programs with the YMCA and City of Mississauga. His passion for coaching has recently been reignited as his kids began participating in soccer themselves.
